Ticking off the next racing block with some results coming in. Starting off with 20th in Moustoir AC then 9th at the Brec’h CLM and finally 34th at Plumelin. Brec’h - Kerstran CLM 9th. Thanks to Cyclo Club Brech for another great event this year. Good to be back on the TT bike and have a good blast out. Tour de Ferré ✅ Overall a great race with me picking up a top 5 in the TT and the team working perfectly to achieve some good results. Stage 1 was good fun with @bile.rtas taking the win and overall GC lead with an incredible breakaway effort. Followed by the stage 2 TT where I secured 5th on the day 12seconds off the win. So close but I let everything on the road. Final stage was one of the hardest races I’ve ever done, after helping support the team early on I was cracked for the climbs so spent most of my day yo-yoing on and off the back of the bunch until I finally cracked 25km to go. Overall great race and such a good experience. Legs are good so looking forward to testing it in the races coming up. Massive hats off to Arnas with his Stage 1 win and ending up with 8th overall at the end. Happy heat training 👀… Recently I have started incorporating Heat training into my plan. After always struggling in the heat hopefully I will feel a change in my performance during the higher temperatures come summer. After losing 6 months last winter to EBV I am so so happy to be able to get the miles in and enjoy the best that the autumn weather has to offer. Two days two TTs. Coming back from my season in France absolutely flying I first took the win at the Ickenfield RC 10 mile with a 18:59 a new PB. And the following day taking 2nd at the WCTTCA 25 with a 55:06. With these TTs being my last races of the season I am happy to finish on a high. After a strong prologue putting me in 3rd overall and a brutal road stage with me finishing 11th in the breakaway sprint I managed to secure my GC Podium. Now I am heading home for some end of season TTs before I’ll be taking up on the start ramp of the U23 Chrono Des Nation. What a day at the National TT! Such an amazing event to be part of especially after all the hard work coming back from missing a whole winter due to illness. Unfortunately it wasn’t my day and I suffered two dropped chains on the final lap which effectively ended my race. It was still an incredible experience and I am grateful for all the support from @colnagoworlduk @bnecc @thebikefactorychester @acpbaud56 now I am refocusing my season to get some results out here in France. Feels good to be finally reaping the rewards of some quality training out here in France getting stuck into the races and learning the craft. First TT In France Completed…unfortunately due to a short circuit in a junction box my Colnago was un rideable, this lead to a quick change of plan and a fast change of wheels onto my road bike. Although I was disappointed in being unable to use my TT bike I am still pleased with hitting 20th overall only 2:37 behind the winner.
