Season Kickoff: Preparing for Calpe

As winter draws to a close, my focus is shifting firmly toward the upcoming season. I’m kicking things off with a two-week training camp in Calpe—a perfect opportunity to finish sharpening the legs and test the progress made over the colder months. Compared to last winter, I’ve been fortunate to avoid illness this time around, which has made a massive difference in both the quantity and quality of my training.

The winter season has been fantastic, filled with solid miles and a much-needed period of mental recovery. Giving my body the time to reset and refocus has set the stage for what I hope will be a strong year ahead. After missing out on a training camp last year, I’m absolutely buzzing to head out to Spain in just a few weeks. For now, it’s all about keeping the legs ticking over until it’s time to board the plane.

Looking further ahead, I’m thrilled to kick off my racing season with the Clayton Spring Classic, a perfect opener to get into race mode. Shortly after, I’ll take on my first French race of the season, the Melrand Classic. Having only started my 2024 road season in late July last year, it’s exciting to have a full season ahead this time (hopefully illness-free!).

I’ve set myself some big goals for 2025, and I truly believe they’re within reach. Now it’s just a matter of putting in the work, staying consistent, and seeing where the season takes me. Here’s to an exciting year ahead—let’s see what it holds!

Also a big thank you to my sponsors for their continued support: The Bike Factory Chester, Colnago UK, BNECC, ACP Baud, Pedal Potential, and Nitro Adventures. Your support plays a key role as I prepare for the season ahead, and I’m looking forward to representing you all throughout the year.
